ALEJANDRO CARRIÓ

The Firm´s senior partner, Alejandro Carrió, has a solid academic background and a vast experience in the practice of law. He received his JSD from the University of Buenos Aires´ Law School, and later obtained his LL.M degree from Louisiana State University, La, U.S. Mr. Carrió is a well-known law professor with experience in Argentina, Latin America and the United States. He attended Columbia University as a Visitng Scholar and then taught at Syracuse University, L.S.U., U.B.A., Universidad de Palermo, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, among others.

MAXIMILIANO CESAR REUSSI

Maximiliano Reussi has vast experience in the practice of law. He received his JSD from the University of Buenos Aires´ Law School, and later obtained a postgraduate degree in Criminal Tax Law in the same university.

JUAN FRANCISCO CARRIÓ

Francisco Carrió received his JSD from the University of Buenos Aires´ Law School, later obtained his LL.M degree from Louisiana State University, postgraduate degrees in Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and U.B.A., and attended Columbia University as a Visiting Scholar.

At Carrió & Reussi clients will receive a personalized attention by, at least, one of its partners. We have had vast experience acting as defense attorneys, as well as defending victims’ rights representing them as private prosecutors (“parte querellante”). One of the Firm’s practice areas is Customs Criminal Law, specializing in the litigation of smuggling cases before the Economic Criminal Court.

We provide comprehensive advice to both companies and individuals, representing them in all judicial instances, from the investigation stage, the oral trial and the appeal stage. Our experience ranges from simple smuggling cases to the most complex aggravated smuggling cases, including proceedings in the National Economic Criminal Court, Oral Economic Criminal Courts and the Federal Criminal Cassation Court.

We focus on designing effective legal strategies, identifying the best defense arguments to achieve a favorable resolution, always with a deep knowledge of the applicable customs criminal and criminal procedure legislation.

Los socios del Estudio poseen una sólida formación en Derecho Constitucional, destacándose en el acceso a la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Nación mediante el recurso extraordinario federal.

Ofrecemos asesoramiento tanto a particulares como a otros estudios jurídicos, llevando sus casos hasta la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Nación. Para ello, resulta fundamental la identificación temprana de la cuestión federal en juego y su mantenimiento a lo largo de todas las instancias judiciales.
